Ciao! My name is Angela and I'm 35 years old. I was born and raised in Putignano, a little town in the region of Puglia in southeastern Italy. Two years ago, I moved to California with my husband and our one-year-old son, and we live close to San Francisco. I have lived in Naples (when I was a student), China for five years, and Japan for two years. I am interested in current events, especially those concerning developing countries, and international political matters. I am an avid reader and enjoy detective, historical and fantasy novels. I am passionate about films, and fascinated by music and all forms of art. I am a very dynamic, positive and friendly person

I studied classical languages (ancient Greek and Latin) in high school. I graduated summa cum laude at the Istituto Universitario Orientale in Naples where I studied far eastern cultures and languages. I also studied Mandarin in Xi'an and Guangzhou, China, for two years, obtaining a Proficiency Language Certificate. In 2002, I moved to Osaka, Japan where I taught online Italian lessons to both adults and kids using an innovative IT platform and teaching materials. In 2004, I went back to China, in Beijing, where I taught intensive elementary, intermediate and advanced Italian courses to prepare students waiting to attend Italian universities. I also developed and edited Italian language learning materials for six levels (according to the European Teaching Language Standards), completed HR tasks, trained and managed staff, scheduled school activities and supervised examinations. While in Beijing, I was also an official PLIDA (Società Dante Alighieri Italian Proficiency Test) examiner.

I have a professional, friendly and patient attitude when I teach.
